Christian Character
We embrace and value our school’s history and heritage. In addition to weekly chapel services as well as classroom bible and devotional studies, Christian values are woven throughout all subjects and activities within the school. We strive to cultivate each student’s sense of responsibility, compassion, honesty and self-discipline. Our goal is to produce confident, ethical, Christian young people equipped for the challenges of life. We encourage children to develop a sense of self worth as well as sensitivity to the feelings and needs of others.
Learning that Lasts
While we stress the fundamental, core academics and Christian character development, we also believe offering the ‘education extras’ are fundamental in ensuring our students receive Learning that Lasts. From as early on as Jr. Kindergarten, all students through eighth grade receive music, art and physical education instruction by specialty teachers. As technology continues to be a growing element of our daily lives, it also is part of our educational process and all children are given computer skills instruction ensuring they are well prepared for using technology in their high school years and beyond.
Beyond the classroom
Grace Lutheran School offers exceptional extra-curricular activities that enable students to have a well rounded learning experience. Our athletic program offers students an opportunity to learn lessons in sportsmanship, team work, goal setting, competition, overcoming adversity, as well as winning and losing while maintaining behavior consistent with Christian character.
The focus in education must be to share the Gospel with people and nurture them into a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace Lutheran School exists in response to God’s command to educate His children. The members of Grace Lutheran Church have accepted their responsibility by establishing and maintaining a full-time Christian Day School for its members and community.
In early 1982, Grace Lutheran Church realized a vision it had been nurturing – to open a Christian elementary school. With close to 25 years of educational experience, Grace Lutheran School has developed into an educational institution that provides Learning that Lasts from preschool through eighth grade. Our program serves hundreds of families in our community and continues to grow. Our elementary school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
