DARIN ZYLSTRA
Mr. Zylstra graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2007 with a BA in Liberal Studies and a concentration in U.S. History. He also earned his Multiple Subject Credential in June 2007 and started his teaching career in LAUSD teaching 5th grade from 2007-2009. Mr. Zylstra started at Grace in 2009 as a middle school classroom teacher. During his time at GLS, he has taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade History, Mathematics 6, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and an elective, Model United Nations.
Mr. Zylstra believes in life-long learning and since 2018 has also received his Single Subject Credential, Social Science and has completed his Administrative Credential.
Mr. Zylstra is married and has two children. He attends First Christian Reformed Church, Artesia and lives in Westminster. He enjoys basketball, traveling, and camping with his family. As always, Mr. Zylstra is eager to begin the new school year as principal of GLS.
